Origami Box

I saw an Origami Box on SCS and I knew that I had to try it out. Since, Valentine's Day (an my anniversary) are coming up, I thought that I would make a cute box to hold some candy, and give it to my hubby. Here is the link to where I found the directions http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=410418. I made a few changes but it is pretty much the same. Here are the pictures of the finished box.

Man, it has been a LONG time!!

I was making cards but wasn't always taking pictures and posting them. I just recently got home from spending 4 days in the hospital due to having Pneumonia, Bronchitis and the Flu all at once. It was very difficult to breathe and it they ran multiple blood cultures and tests to make sure that I didn't have anything else on top of the triad of illnesses. I am starting to feel better now. It still requires ALOT of energy to do the everyday stuff. I have a follow-up visit to my regular doctor in 4 days. And, I may be released to work the following week. It will be nice to get out among the human population again. :-)

Halloween Bags

Well, I saw a bag like this on Beate's blog. On her blog she made a cute Christmas bag. So, I decided I would give it a try for a Halloween bag. It took me a while to get the first one done because I was having problems. But now I am on a roll. I love these cute bags.

I hope you like them.

My Sunflower Card

I had found a template online someone's blog (Can't remember who now) that was to make a flower card. And I made a flower card for my Mom for Mother's day and she loved it. But I decided to do a little spin on the card for a friend of mine. Her favorite flower is the Sunflower. This card took a long time for me because I don't have the nestabilities yet :-( If you have the nestabilities then it would be much easier. I still think it turned out great (but maybe because I worked so hard on it).

Cards I gave to my Mom

I made some 3" x 3" cards to give to my mom so that she could give them to people and wouldn't have to buy cards. I never knew that making little square cards would be so much fun. I used the Very Punny stamp set to make the cards. I might have to make some for myself now. Here are my favorites of all the ones I made.

It's been a long time since I posted a card.

I have been making cards and taking pictures of them. But everytime I try to upload the image of the card to make a posting I am having problems. I am far from a computer expert. So, I am going to break down and finally ask someone for help. I don't know if it is a program that I downloaded or what. But the window won't open when I try to upload the image. I should have some cards posted by this weekend.

Misused English Words

So, I stumbled across this quiz online. I was curious how well I could do, so I took a stab at it. Here are my results:

Your result for The Commonly Confused Words Test ...

English Genius
You scored 100% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 100% Advanced, and 87% Expert!

You did so extremely well, even I can't find a word to describe your excellence! You have the uncommon intelligence necessary to understand things that most people don't. You have an extensive vocabulary, and you're not afraid to use it properly! Way to go!
Thank you so much for taking my test. I hope you enjoyed it!

The weird thing is that I only missed one of the expert questions, and it scored me at 87%. I should have received 92% if I only missed one. Oh well.

I challenge everyone to also take the quiz and post your results. Here is the link
